Glass Bottle Manufacturers Best 6 Steps
1 . Raw materials for glass bottle production
Glass bottle manufacturers will produce glass bottles from mostly sand, soda ash and limestone. Crushed glass is added to this mixture.
Crushed glass is broken glass, whether it is waste from the manufacturing process or from recycling centers, saving 1300 pounds of sand, 410 pounds of soda ash and 380 pounds of limestone for every ton of glass recycled.
This will save manufacturing costs, save costs and energy so that customers can get economical prices on our products.
2 . Glass bottle raw materials melting in the furnace
The raw material and broken glass are continuously melted at high temperature, at about 1700°C. The furnace runs for 24 hours and the raw material mixture forms molten glass for about 24 hours.
The molten glass passes through the front furnace and then at the end of the front furnace, the glass stream is cut into pieces by weight and the temperature is set precisely.
- Glass Bottle Manufacturers forming
There are two methods of forming: press-blow or blow-blow, performed on IS machines that
a.Press-blow glass bottle
The cut cavity is dropped and the cavity is pressed into a blank mold with a metal plunger, where it expects the shape of the mold, which is then called the cavity. Next, the cavity is moved to the final mold and blown into the mold for the final measurement. This process is usually used for wide-mouth glass bottles, but can also be used to produce narrow-mouth glass bottles.
b.Blowing glass bottles
The cut material falls down. During blowing, the glass liquid is compressed into the blank mold. Compressed air is used to push the pick-up area into place to form the initial glass bottle, after which it is moved to the final mold and blown again to form a frame glass. The interior of the bottle. Blowing units can be used to make glass bottles with different neck thicknesses (narrow containers)
4. Annealing in glass bottle manufacturing process
Regardless of the process, blown glass containers are usually surface coated after they are formed.
While they are still hot, to make the bottles and cans more scratch resistant, this is called a hot end surface treatment, and then the glass bottles are taken to an annealing furnace where their temperature returns to about 815°C and then gradually decreases to below 480°C.
This takes about 2 hours. This reheating and slow cooling removes the pressure inside the container. The robustness of the naturally occurring glass containers will be enhanced. Otherwise, the glass is easily broken.
5. Glass bottle quality inspection
Before inspection, the surface coating treatment with cold end is usually used to reduce the temperature of glass containers to about 100℃, otherwise the glass is easily scratched.
After leaving the cold end of the annealing furnace, we use Led beam technology (Led inspection), Kamala inspection machine, and integrated inspection machine to inspect faults that are not visible to the naked eye in order to ensure product quality.
These inspections include, but are not limited to: sealing surface inspection, dimensional analysis, wall thickness inspection, damage inspection, edge and bottom scanning, and wall scanning. Any non-compliant bottles will be automatically rejected and these rejected bottles will be remelted and reused as raw material. Automatic inspection to provide stable quality assurance for customers.
6. Glass bottle packaging
Glass bottle packaging method depends on customer requirements. Usually we use the following two methods for packaging.Glass bottle manufacturers will produce glass bottles from mostly sand, soda ash and limestone. Crushed glass is added to this mixture
