How are glass bottles made? What is the production process of glass bottles

Glass insulation, light transmittance, stable performance, various types due to the use of different occasions and have different characteristics, a very wide range of application. When we are choosing glass, besides paying attention to price beyond, still answer its kind and performance have certain understanding, foster strong points and circumvent weak points, ability can find the material that suits to use more. We have compiled this article to help you understand the production process of glass bottles.
How is the glass bottle made

One, Glass bottle production process mainly includes:

① Raw material pre-processing. The massive raw materials (quartz sand, soda, limestone, feldspar, etc.) are crushed to dry the wet raw materials, and the iron containing raw materials are treated with iron removal to ensure the quality of glass.

② Preparation of compound.

(3) melted. Glass matching material in the pool kiln or pool furnace for high temperature (1550~1600 degrees) heating, so that the formation of uniform, no bubble, and meet the molding requirements of liquid glass.

(4) shape. Put the liquid glass into the mold to make the glass products of the required shape, such as plate, various utensils, etc.

⑤ Heat treatment. Through annealing, quenching and other processes, clean or produce glass internal stress, phase separation or crystallization, and change the structural state of the glass.

Two, glass bottle generally use what molding process
Blow it out.

After the glass is melted, it is adjusted to a certain temperature (mainly to adjust the viscosity of the glass liquid), and the head of the feeding channel slowly falls down, and the glass material is cut off by mechanical scissors, and the glass material falls into the mold along the slide way. There is an upward metal rod in the mold, which will top the glass material into a hollow shape with a mouth down, and then turn the glass material into a mouth up, and clip the glass material in the middle with a two-flap bottle-making mold. At the same time blow compressed air into the bottle – forming. After the glass solidifies, the mold is opened, and then annealing, inspection and other processes are carried out.

The traditional technique is to blow the glass out of the kiln with a metal tube and adjust the shape with a tool or asbestos cloth as you blow. If it is cold, it is put back in the oven and heated until it forms the desired shape.
